Wendy Furrer possesses a unique skill set. Her most recent exposure was on CNBC's highly rated "High Net Worth" program where Wendy reported on-air about investing in art and real estate, fashion and beauty trends, food and wine, travel, celebrities and their philanthropies, and how the economic downturn has affected the luxury market. The show provides avenues for viewers to extend their wealth and get the most out of the assets they have.

Wendy has covered lifestyle and business stories, and interviewed celebrities such as Derek Jeter, Howard Stern, Andre Agassi, Donna Karan, Russell Simmons, and business leaders including Richard Branson of Virgin, Daymond John of FUBU, Herb Kelleher of Southwest Airlines and W.L. Gore's CEO Terri Kelly. At CNBC she also field produced business news reports and hedge fund and private equity profiles, such as David Rubenstein of Carlyle and Jim Simons of Renaissance Technologies.

Prior to joining CNBC, Wendy produced for a range of programs at CNN, including Lou Dobbs Tonight, CNN Special Projects, CNN en Espanol and CNN Financial News. She has covered a wide range of business, political, travel and lifestyle topics, along with consumer and finance related issues.

Before her career in television, Wendy worked as an analyst at Credit Suisse in global foreign exchange. Among her projects, she assisted in the creation of a 500-page foreign exchange options book used to train the internal sales force, and as the lecture notes for a MBA course at the MIT Sloan School of Management. While at CS, she also provided strategic planning and business development for its foreign exchange business following the merger of commercial and investment bank operations.

Wendy holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, and a Bachelor's degree in both International Affairs and Spanish from Lafayette College in Easton, PA.

Wendy is fluent in Spanish and has lived both in Seville and Barcelona, Spain. She is passionate about traveling, having been to Russia during the Gorbachev era, trekked through Myanmar and Chiapas, Mexico, visited Massai tribes while on safari in East Africa, and traveled extensively in Europe. She lives in New York City and volunteers with the New York Junior League, a non-profit organization serving women and children in need. Wendy is also on the Consulting Advisory Board of Youth I.N.C., an organization that aims to improve non-profits for children.
